My name is Jim Bergstad, I'm pushing eighty years old and still kicking a bit here and there. I love to write, I live to learn and my favorite things to do is trade critiques with folks who love to write fiction.
I'm not a big fan of horror or vampires, zombies, monsters, etc. I figure I've seen enough of the real thing that I don't necessarily have to make up stories about fake monsters of any kind. Believe me, you young folks who read this post, there are more than enough crazies to go around in this world. In my writing I don't try to ingratiate you with a lot of blood and guts. I do write about evil people doing evil to others, but I try and do it in a way that keeps you interested in the basic plot line, creating conflicts and resolving them, sometimes with happy endings and sometimes with endings not so happy, just like real life. I hope we all have fun and enjoy each others works. Thank you for having me and I hope I can contribute something that will help others along the way. jb
