Phantom of the Opera -- origins

I have been a Phan for ages, and I realize that there are many works that expand Erik's (aka the Phantom's) story, but does anyone know of a good book out there that focuses solely on his origins and expands on, rather than contradicts or modifies, the backstory that Gaston LeRoux gave us in part of his novel?
